"We Speak"
“We Speak” is the outcome of 50 teens creating a talking building on the corner of Georgia Ave. and Patten Pkwy. These artists painted their own mouths speaking a personal word of empowerment. The mouths confidently shout at viewers statements like, “I belong,” “I think,” “I vote,” and “I stand.”

I saw this project featured in the newspaper. I loved the concept of the I "verb" canvases. It is very creative. When I first read the title, I thought it had to have the word "we" in each canvas, but when I saw the picture of the one that says "I WATCH" with the giant eye underneath it I understood that it represents the community expressing what they think.
